Welcome to another Throwback Thursday!
Today we're celebrating the original girl power girl group, 2NE1 with If It Were You. This song is from their last album Crush and displays a softer, more emotional side of the girls than they're known for. Am I the only person who feels that they were as good at ballads as they are on songs like Fire, I Am The Best and Falling In Love?
This song is a favourite of mine for so many reasons. I love how sad it is lyrically while still maintaining strong vocals and a mid-tempo instrumental. The girls also get to display more stylistic singing choices that keep the song entertaining to the end. When they perform this live, there's also no question that it's LIVE.
Hopefully this will open up 2NE1 to a whole new generation of fans!
