About NYAN
A podcast dedicated to sharing a unique perspective on South Korean entertainment. We are made up of netizens from all over the world and gather weekly in our spare time. Sometimes we agree, sometimes we don’t, and we hope that you find yourself in each of our voices. Our goal is to be informative and to have an open and mature discussion about the things we love, hate, and love to hate.
Most of all we want to have fun with K-pop and other content and share that with others!

Creator & Host
As early as 2011, Ashe had the seeds of an idea that would eventually turn into Not Your Average Netizens. She recruited a roundtable consisting of a wide range of personalities to discuss the exciting developments in the world of Kpop. Outside of Kpop, Ashe is a major Blerd. Some of her hobbies include reading, writing, and gaming.

Host
Jay started with NYAN in March 2018, with his introduction to k-pop dating back to 2006. Though he’d heard of it then, it wasn’t until 2008 that he became fully invested--with idols and idol groups like BEG, Rain, and MBLAQ standing out as artists of interest. Overtime, Jay has developed an affinity for favor nugu groups as they are more open to experimenting with their sounds and concepts. Outside of his interest in k-pop and the relationship between society and culture, Jay loves music, art, reading, and martial arts.

Host
Jemin is a SHINee lover who joined the NYAN kpop podcast in 2018. She resides in the U.S., and is light-hearted and fair host, who takes a fun and honest approach to kpop commentary. Outside of kpop, Jemin is an avid studier of languages, spectator of sports, and cuddler of cute things.

Host
Nat has been with NYAN since 2018 and a fan of Kpop for the past 10 years. As the sole Canadian voice and avid girl group stan, she brings a unique northern touch to the podcast and does her part in promoting girl groups in their efforts toward world domination. When she’s not dishing out hot takes like soundcloud rapper links, she’s watching or reading something fantastical or making bruschetta. And as a skincare junkie, Nat has yet to find a skincare trend that she will not try.
